Stainless Steel is a term used to describe steel that contains enough Alloying Materials in it to make it corrosion and oxidation resistant (it will not rust), thus the name Stainless Steel. Type 434 with molybdenum is used mainly for automotive trim applications where it shows no rusting and is most resistant when polished or rolled to a mirror like finish. Type 434 is also used in scientific apparatuses, tobacco & plant machinery, petroleum refining equipment, and chemical vessels.
